The PXIe-4464 dynamic signal analyzer provides integrated signal conditioning and data acquisition for audio, acoustic, and vibration measurements. It offers the high precision and dynamic range necessary for the most stringent audio measurements in a modular form factor, so it can scale up to the largest microphone array measurement needs.
The PXIe-4464 contains four 24-bit analog-to-digital converters to allow for fully differential simultaneous acquisitions at rates up to 204.8 kS/s. An integrated electronic piezoelectric (IEPE) excitation circuit is also provided for powering microphones, accelerometers, and other IEPE sensors. The IEPE excitation circuit can deliver up to 20 mA of current for high-power sensors and strong data integrity over even the longest of sensor cable runs.
Programming the PXIe-4464 with NI-DAQmx is fast and easy. Driver calls allow for per channel selection of voltage range, IEPE excitation current, and AC/DC coupling. Use the two timing engines to perform multisample-rate applications on a single module and independently start and stop channels on a single module.
The PXIe-4464 comes in two connector variants. Ideal for common microphone and accelerometer measurements, the BNC connector option features industry-standard BNC connectors for those IEPE sensors. The mXLR connector offers better noise immunity for voltage measurements or cabling to non-IEPE sensors with differential outputs. The mXLR connector is recommended for any audio testing application where cable-induced noise is a possible concern.
